When Elliott Moss and Meherwan Irani came together to open Buxton Hall Barbecue, the fried chicken sandwich stole the hearts of many, including the editors of Bon Appétit Magazine, who named it the best fried chicken sandwich in the country. Ever since then we’ve had the dream of giving that beloved sandwich its own restaurant.
For our first chicken palace, we are very excited to be a part of the rebirth of the S&W Market – a building that has been an architectural icon in Asheville since the 20s. We hope this is just the beginning of spreading little chicken palaces wherever the desire for delicious fried chicken sandwiches may be.
