The owner, Matthew Mixon, was raised a couple of hours to the west of Asheville in the small town of Hayesville, NC and is a graduate of Appalachian State with degrees in Sustainable Development and Appropriate Technology.  Landscaping has been in Matthew’s blood for over 20 years.  His father started a successful landscaping company in Hayesville, where Matthew spent many summers helping with the family business.  After working in the commercial solar business for the last several years, Matthew decided to pursue his dream of owning his own landscaping business and starting EcoLawns Unlimited.  Matthew is passionate about landscaping, the environment, and people, which are the foundation of EcoLawns Unlimited.
