Local Cloth is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing the fiber supply chain in Western North Carolina and enhancing the lives of those who make their living in fiber industries. We support a thriving community consisting of farmers, fiber artists, suppliers, designers/sewists, educators, students, and small scale fiber mills. Most importantly, we offer workshops all year long, have special interest groups and textile study groups to join, and host special events like Fiber Feel Day and Anything Fiber Sale. For more information, please visit our website at https://localcloth.org. Whether you are an artist by trade or just wanting to learn how to make beautiful items to wear or put in your home consider becoming a member and take our workshops. Many of our instructors have taught at John C. Campbell Folk School, Arromont School of Arts and Crafts, or other nationally recognized programs. We are excited now to be located in the River Arts District. There we have 6 resident artists, educational workshop, dye lab, numerous study groups, and a retail store. So please check out our website for days and hours of operation.
