Somatic Spiritual Counseling is a collective of body-centered therapists, counselors, and coaches based in Asheville, North Carolina; Boulder, CO; and online. Our office at 6 Locust St, Asheville, NC 28804 sits in a quiet corner of North Asheville near the Woodfin hills: a peaceful, residential setting with free, easy parking, so your nervous system can start settling before you even walk through the door.

We founded this practice because we kept meeting the same person: someone who had done years of talk therapy, understood their patterns inside and out, and still felt stuck. Insight alone wasn’t creating change. Our work fills that gap by bringing the body into the healing process. Through Somatic Experiencing, nervous system regulation, embodiment practices, mindfulness, and psychotherapy, we help clients move from understanding their pain to actually living differently: feeling safer in their bodies, steadier in their relationships, and more at home in their lives.

Our approach is warm and relational first. Healing happens in connection, and our practitioners bring genuine presence to every session. We work with people navigating trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, and the particular ache of having “done the work” without feeling the results. Many of our clients are also spiritual seekers who want a therapeutic space that honors the whole of who they are (mind, body, and spirit), without imposing any belief system.

Because we’re a collective rather than a solo practice, we can thoughtfully match you with the practitioner whose training, style, and availability best fit your needs. Our team includes licensed therapists and body-centered coaches with specialized training in somatic modalities, and we offer sliding-scale options because we believe deep healing shouldn’t be reserved for those who can most easily afford it.

Our North Asheville location is minutes from Merrimon Avenue and downtown, convenient to Woodfin, Montford, Kimberly, and Beaverdam, and an easy drive from Weaverville and West Asheville.
