To celebrate Love Asheville, Go Local month, we’ve partnered with great organizations and businesses to create a calendar of events for our Go Local business members you won’t want to miss! What: Candidate Cafe

Description: The Asheville Downtown Association, in partnership with Dewey Property Advisors, is proud to present a unique opportunity for the community ahead of the March 5 primary election: an engaging discussion with candidates running for Asheville City Council.Set against the vibrant backdrop of Citizen Vinyl, a cornerstone of culture and community in Downtown Asheville, this event promises to be more than just a conversation. It’s a chance to connect, understand, and envision the future of our beloved Downtown through the eyes of those aspiring to lead it.We are thrilled to announce that Matt Peiken, the voice behind the Overlook Podcast, will guide our dialogue.

What:  Leadership on Tap
Description: Go local Asheville is partnering with AVL Digital Nomads on their monthly Leadership on Tap meeting. Are you leading a team,remote, in-person or hybrid, or just stepping into leadership? Join us for connection with other amazing leaders, local craft beverages, and engaging roundtable conversations at this monthly Leadership on Tap event.

What:Blue Ridge Pride Welcoming Spaces Certification Training Course
Description:Go Local Asheville is excited to partner with Blue Ridge Pride for this important event. Get ready to dive into an interactive training course that focuses on creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all. The Blue Ridge Pride Welcoming Spaces 90 minute training course was created to help allies and soon-to-be-allies see the great humanity and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community, and, on that basis, to help build policies, laws, and practices that welcome the LGBTQIA+ community into spaces of  belonging. This course reviews some LGBTQIA+ basics, explores bias and inequity, as well as discusses what inclusion, equity and belonging look like for our diverse community.

Who Should Attend: Go Local Business Owners, Directors or Managers of both brick and mortar and digital (web-based) businesses. (due to space limitations invitation is limited to 2 individuals per company)

When: February 27th, Doors open at 5:30pm
What: Marketing and AI (Artificial Intelligence) Presentation from 6-7pm followed by an Ice Cream Social from 7-8pm
Description:Join Go Local, AVL Digital Nomads and Yoruba  and learn how AI can help you in your marketing efforts. And stay afterwards to indulge in the best ice cream in town, served up by The Hop. It’ll be a fun evening of learning, networking and eating the best ice cream in town!
