Go Local Certificate of Deposit

In March of 2013 we partnered with Self-Help Credit Union to create the Go Local CD. Funds raised are lent to locally owned and independent businesses in Western North Carolina and for home loans that will be held locally.

Since inception the CD has brought in over $2 million and has loaned $2.29 million. Businesses like the Carolina Mountains Land Conservancy and Hendersonville Community Co-op have both benefited from this investment vehicle.

Mountain BizWorks

For over 25 years Mountain Bizworks has been helping to start and grow hundreds of our local businesses. In 2015 alone, they made over _______ in loans to many of our favorite small business. In addition, they offer business coaching and an extensive peer to peer network.

We’ve made a list of the businesses on the Go Local Card who have gone through Mountain Bizworks training or received a loan. Investors can invest as little as $1,000 and choose terms as short as one year or as long as 10 years. Investors receive a fixed-rate annual simple interest return of 0% to 3%.
