Asheville’s City Council officially proclaimed the week of Valentine’s in February as Love Asheville Go Local Week, and you showed up to help us celebrate our local community! Among the festivities:

10 beautiful banners hoisted around downtown (to stay up for the entire year)

A yarn bombing conjured by Purl’s Yarn Emporium turned 68 Haywood into the Pit of Love

Dozens of businesses participated with lovely special offers and over 40 events sprinkled throughout Asheville were planned and promoted

We packed the hall with supporters as Vice Mayor Gwen Wisler read the official proclamation

3,000 hours of free parking passes were given out

#LoveLocalAVL tags sprinkled social media, sending love throughout the city
