Do you have a locally owned and independent company in Buncombe County, NC?

You can apply for membership by joining the Go Local Card program. Your business will be listed in the online directory as well as over 35,000 copies of next year’s print directory.

The deadline to be included in the 2024 print directory was Monday Nov 1st. However, you can join anytime to be included in the online directory!

All we ask is that you create an offer that is clear, concise and unique to the Go Local Card. As a participant, you agree to honor your offer to cardholders from the time you sign on through December 31st,  2024.

Criteria to Join

A business must…

  • Be privately held and not publicly traded or registered as a franchise.
  • Be regionally based with no corporate headquarters outside of North Carolina.
  • Have owners with over 50% controlling interest living in Buncombe or one of the surrounding counties.
  • Be independently owned and free to make their own business decisions without the need for approval by owners or affiliates outside of the area.

Nonprofits utilizing national branding must…

  • Be independently registered in Buncombe County.
  • Operate with a local board of directors and not be a chapter of nor have any administrative control by a headquarters outside our region.
